Becoming The Bastion
A downloadable game
Current Features: You can press start, move, get chased. that's it for now.
I have just started to get into programming with Godot, and making games in general. I'm using this as a way to push me to create a world I've been working on for a long time. I am working on a book series that I want to tie into this universe, this game taking place 100's of years before the set up of the book. Looking to make it like vampire survivor, but with attacks you can control, and some you can't. My 'vision' for this game is to have a hub area, where you purchase armor and equipment (you'll have 1 active armor set, 1 active weapon set, and 1 active spell) and slowly upgrade your town so you can upgrade yourself. Going out into the desert is how you gain currency or resources. Only want to do 5 minute runs. Could be phone compatible but I doubt I will even get far enough to add a hub town. Will post a dev log as I update.
If you know any good tutorials, or perhaps some good Godot Docs that may come in handy I would appreciate a link. If you know how to create better pixil art than this also tell me. Very much need constructive criticism.
I won't have a set time for updates, so will probably just stick to weekly releases with the 1 or 2 things I've added, adding devlogs so I can slowly see how far I have come.I am eventually thinking of creating a mini book for this game, just to kind of tell what's going on, because I think programming some sort of narration to this game while doing everything else will just burn me out and prevent me from making something actually playable.

Download
Install instructions
Download Zip File
Create a Folder named 'Becoming the Bastion' (or TBD, or whatever you'd like)
Unpack all of the Zip files into that folder
Locate BecomingTheBastion.exe
Run the game, your windows defender will tell you it isn't going to run the game, press 'more info', and a 'run anyway' option will show up. After the next session if I upload what I have done I will find a way to make this pop up go away. Run at your own discretion I guess?
